If you’re going to go, there are a few things you should know. The first thing to keep in mind is the memorial location. For beginners, it is located in Strawberry Fields, 2.5 acres of Central Park, dedicated to Lennon. Strawberry Fields stretches across the 71nd and 74nd West, next to Central Park West, which runs alongside the park. To get there, you can take the A, B or C subway lines to 72nd Street Station, which takes you to the Terrace Drive Park entrance. John Lennon death

Walking to the park you will soon see a sign pointing to Strawberry Fields. Follow the arrow to the right of the path and you are almost there. In the middle of Strawberry Fields, the Lennon Monument is a circular black and white mosaic model with the core of “Imagine”. It was a gift from Naples, Italy, one of over 50 donations that came around the world to help rebuild the park.

There are often a number of people around the memorial, though it is considerably bigger on the day of death and birthday (Oct. 9). When you reach “Imagine” mosaics, join the audience when they respect Lennon. The chances are high that people play and sing various Beatles songs all day, so you can freely sing. Lennon fans also put flowers and other memories around or around the mosaic as a peaceful tribute to the late singer-songwriter they hope to have been today. John Lennon death
